Courtland Reichman and Christine Lehman Honored among Bloomberg Law’s Unrivaled Litigators
Courtland Reichman and Christine Lehman have been named among Bloomberg Law’s 2025 Unrivaled Litigators, an honor awarded to only 32 litigators nationwide who have demonstrated exceptional skills in high-stakes trials and impactful settlements.
This recognition reflects a string of their high-profile jury trial wins, most recently Kove IO v. Amazon Web Services. Reichman and Lehman won $673 million after a jury trial finding in Chicago federal court. Notably, this verdict was the largest standing patent win of 2024 and among the top 10 over the last decade.
The case centered on highly complex cloud technology. By focusing on clear and accessible storytelling, they translated intricate technological concepts into compelling narratives that resonated with jurors. Their strategy also included humanizing the invention and inventors, ensuring the facts remained front and center, and engaging the jury through dynamic courtroom presentations.
Reichman, who discovered his passion for trial advocacy in law school and has achieved numerous major victories over his 30-year career, reflected on his approach, saying, “Your authentic communication makes your client’s case more accessible and trying to help a jury understand the truth enhances your credibility, allowing your side to be heard. Be relentlessly thorough and careful.”
Lehman, a seasoned trial attorney with 30 years of experience in patent litigation, draws on her technical background to guide clients through complex cases. Commenting on her approach at trial, she added, “Trials are an opportunity for juries to make a meaningful contribution to society,” and lawyers must ensure “facts are accessible” and the case is presented “in a way that keeps their attention.”
