Adam Adler Recognized as a 2025 Law360 IP Rising Star

Partner Adam Adler has been honored by Law360 as a 2025 Rising Star in Intellectual Property, one of only six IP attorneys nationwide to receive this distinction. This award recognizes attorneys under 40 whose exceptional achievements set them apart as leaders in their fields.

Adam had a remarkable year, achieving significant victories across patents, trademarks, and copyrights. In the realm of patents, he played a pivotal role in securing a $673 million patent infringement award for Kove IO, Inc. against Amazon Web Services (AWS). This case not only marked the largest patent jury verdict of 2024 but also ranked as one of the top 10 patent verdicts of the past decade. In trademarks, Adam successfully challenged Marvel and DC Comics' jointly-owned "SUPER HERO" trademarks, persuading the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to cancel them as generic and anti-competitive. This victory was widely covered in national and mainstream media. Additionally, Adam secured the repeal of "Blackbeard’s Law" on behalf of underwater videographer Rick Allen, protecting his copyrights against large-scale infringement by the state of North Carolina.

From a competitive pool of over 1,100 nominees, Law360 editors named just over 150 attorneys to this year’s list. Representing more than 80 law firms and 34 practice areas, honorees were chosen based on their significant career accomplishments and impact within their respective fields.
