Benchmark Litigation Names Five RJLF Partners to Its 2026 "40 & Under" List

Five RJLF partners have been recognized on Benchmark Litigation's 2026 "40 & Under" list, which honors the most accomplished young litigators in the United States.

Making their debut on the list this year, Connor Houghton and Philip Eklem join Jaime Cardenas-Navia, Michael Matulewicz-Crowley, and Adam Adler, who have been recognized for the second consecutive year. All five were named in the Intellectual Property category, with Michael also earning recognition in Commercial Litigation.

A few highlights from these partners' work that helped earn them a spot on the list:

• Jaime, Adam, and Philip were instrumental in securing a $673 million award for tech startup Kove against Amazon Web Services.

• Jaime and Michael have played pivotal roles in the high-stakes VideoLabs patent litigation against Amazon, Netflix, Meta, and Apple.

• Connor led JetBlack Cycling's defense against Wahoo Fitness's bid to ban its Victory trainer from the U.S. market, winning a preliminary injunction that pushed Wahoo to withdraw its ITC complaint within weeks. 

• Michael led Rule14's patent infringement suit against UiPath, a multibillion-dollar automation software company, securing a favorable settlement weeks before trial.
