Michael Polka Joins RJLF in Silicon Valley

 

Michael Polka has joined Reichman Jorgensen Lehman & Feldberg as counsel in our Silicon Valley office. A trial attorney specializing in intellectual property and technology-related disputes, Michael leverages his background as a mechanical engineer to bring a rare combination of technical insight and industry knowledge to his practice.

Michael has over a decade of legal experience and firsthand knowledge of all phases of litigation. He has led multiple litigation teams and contributed to three trial teams. Throughout his career, he has represented plaintiffs and defendants across diverse industries, including energy production, consumer goods, industrial processing, automotive, aviation, network security, and cryptocurrency.

In addition to patent litigation, Michael’s experience extends to trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets, as well as patent portfolio review, freedom-to-operate analysis, and design-around strategies. Prior to joining RJLF, he most recently worked at Gibson Dunn, where he further refined his skills in navigating complex legal matters.

Prior to his legal career, Michael spent nearly a decade at General Electric’s nuclear energy division, where he honed his engineering expertise and completed the prestigious Edison Engineering Development Program.

Michael earned a J.D., cum laude, from Fordham University School of Law, an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University, and a B.S., cum laude, in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas.
