RJLF Achieves Midsize Mansfield Certification “Plus” Status

Reichman Jorgensen Lehman & Feldberg LLP (RJLF) is proud to announce the firm has achieved Midsize Mansfield Certification “Plus” status, a process facilitated by Diversity Lab. Christine Lehman, Managing Partner of the Washington, D.C. office, led RJLF’s efforts during the program with support from a team of attorneys and business professionals.

“We are very excited not only to have achieved certification, but also to have exceeded program requirements to receive ‘Plus’ status,” said Lehman. Our involvement throughout this process underscores our commitment to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion at all levels within our firm.”

Certification “Plus” status indicates that, in addition to successfully meeting the consideration and transparency requirements, the firm has achieved 30% representation of historically underrepresented lawyers in current leadership roles and pathway activities. More than 70 law firms have achieved Midsize Mansfield Certification, and only half achieved “Plus” status. Achieving certification entailed participating in a rigorous 18-month collaboration with Diversity Lab—from September 2021 to March 2023—to track, measure, and achieve diversity in leadership.

Named for Arabella Mansfield, the first woman admitted to the practice of law in the United States, the goal of the Mansfield Rule is to boost the representation of historically underrepresented lawyers in law firm leadership by broadening the pool of candidates considered for these opportunities. The Mansfield Rule Certification measures whether law firms have affirmatively considered at least 30% women, underrepresented racial/ethnic groups, LGBTQ+ lawyers and lawyers with disabilities for leadership and governance roles, equity partner promotions, formal client pitch opportunities, and senior lateral positions.
