RJLF Team Among Winners of the 2025 CLAY Awards

The RJLF team of Courtland Reichman, Shawna Ballard, Jennifer Estremera, and Navid Bayar are among the winners of the 2025 California Lawyers and Attorneys of the Year (CLAY) award by the Daily Journal.

The Silicon Valley-based team earned this achievement for its groundbreaking victory in Kove IO, Inc. V. Amazon Web Services Inc. RJLF secured a $673 million patent infringement verdict for Kove against AWS in a patent case involving foundational technology for a cloud storage system capable of handling hundreds of trillions of data objects.  The judgment upheld a $525 million patent infringement verdict and added $148 million in interest. The jury found that AWS infringed all three of Kove’s patents related to data management and cloud storage.
