Gabriella D'Angelo focuses on intellectual property litigation, with an emphasis on patent disputes. She is a mechanical engineer by training and leverages her technical background as well as her experience as a patent prosecutor to tackle complex patent disputes.

Prior to joining RJLF, she prepared and prosecuted patent applications in a wide array of technical areas. Her technical work spans aerospace, including turbomachinery, fuel systems, battery systems, and avionics, along with medical device systems, fluid mechanics, software applications, databases and operating systems, network architectures, and machine learning and neural networks. She has drafted and prosecuted both utility and design patents in the United States and abroad, run patentability and state-of-the-art searches, and advised clients on infringement. She has also advised clients on patent matters pro bono through Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts.

Before law school, Gabriella worked as an engineering intern at a biotechnology startup, where she built and tested prototypes, and ran the patent literature searches behind the company's freedom to operate. She also served as a judicial intern in the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Richmond County.

Gabriella studied mechanical engineering at Fairfield University, minored in mathematics, and graduated cum laude as a Magis Scholar in the Honors College. She earned her J.D. cum laude from New York Law School where she graduated in the top 20% of her class.
